Relief at last!

Wed., Aug. 25: This morning we painted at Fortier Park in Olmsted Falls.  The focus was on the late summer landscape.  Our bonus was relief from the excessive heat of the summer of '10!

Green Party

Wednesday, August 18: There were stormy looking clouds at 9am, but the sun appeared around 10am... Just like the weatherman predicted.

David arrived long before anyone else and had completed his first (of three) painting of the day early.

Fruited Plein Air

Our evening at Geig's Orchard was fruitful in more ways than one. There is nothing more scrumptious than a tree-ripened peach in August.

Several were lured to the farmland vista toward the back of the orchard.

Petal Pushers

Another steamy August morning in Northern Ohio. A lot of pre-dawn work goes in to producing this weekly Farmer's Market on Medina's Town Square. There were locally-grown fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers as well as grass-fed beef and goat cheese. Two baby goats were in attendance. And a large collection of EZUp tents in assorted colors.

So many sunflowers.

And then the rains came.

It was a brief downpour... just enough to help keep the dewpoint hovering near tropical.

And the crowds kept coming.

Flower Power

Wednesday, August 4: Spring Grove Cemetery. Another steamy morning with the northern Ohio humidifier at full tilt! We were surrounded by an abundance of blooming perennials and found plenty of inspiration for painting.
